Right now the Iraqis are like those crippled people who are in an ill-fitting wheel chair struggling to open a door, that when you try to help them by opening the door, they cuss and spit at you and try to hit you and run over your toes with their chair. We think they need help, and we think we're being noble, but they're angry over the situation, and frustrated, and resent your help and hate you for it.
In fact, most everyone we "help" is like that.
